JOB DESCRIPTION

Answering to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Operations & Community Manager drives the day-to-day operations of the organization.  The Operations & Community Manager represents Atrium and Start Fort Wayne to the community. The best fit candidate will have experience in: community relations and/or customer service, event management, personnel management, and accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of the office/coworking space including creating and executing policies and procedures, managing technology, logistics, inventory/supplies, and member/guest experiences.Manage building needs and maintenance, as required.

  • Manage conference room calendars. Coordinate internal events for the membership and external events for the general public; working with business professionals, artists, vendors, caterers, and others.

  • Assist with business development to bring in new memberships and space rentals.

  • Work with the Finance Committee, execute accounting and finance policies and procedures for organization.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Atrium members/guests daily. Aid members in any issues (i.e. infrastructure, billing, scheduling, technology, office equipment, or other standard office needs.) Ensure staff are trained on these as well.

  • Manage Start Fort Wayne staff including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and work performance reviews.

  • Work with the Marketing Committee, oversee the marketing strategies and reporting, executed via the Marketing & Events Manager.

  • Be point of contact for partner organizations and programs, executing and maintain partner agreements.

  • Prepare regular operations reports for the board of directors for the organization.

  • Manage volunteers, when applicable, for Start Fort Wayne programs and events.

  • Seek out and organize feedback from Atrium members, and strengthen the entrepreneur community.

  • Help build the community and cultural event programming for Atrium and Start Fort Wayne.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB STATUS

This is a full-time 40-hour per week position. Work hours are Monday-Friday from 8a-4p but will also include some special events on evenings and weekends. Compensation is commensurate based on experience and skill set. Benefits include health care stipends and paid sick and vacation time.
