Why Shared Office Space? 🤔🤔

Coworking shared office spaces provide the best value-for-money options:

We are most most beneficial for:

...those starting (or re-starting) the entrepreneurial journey,

...businesses or companies in transition and looking for a temporary base of operations

…remote workers looking for a professional office space to operate out of

...out-of-town guests, looking for a secure, professional place to work or meet clients

And all within walking distance of a number of restaurants, food bars and hotels.

What makes Start Fort Wayne’s Coworking Space different from other Coworking Spaces? 👍🏽👍🏽

We provide premium value to our members, in a relaxed, open environment that fosters inspiration from a supportive community of like-minds.

Because we are a nonprofit, our goals are much different than a “For Profit” coworking spaces like WeWork, Regus, LoopNet, or Easy Office.

In addition to the normal coworking space services and amenities like free coffee, wifi, printer, conference & training rooms…

we’re also employing the coworking concept outside of our workspace by partnering with other office space providers like the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC)…

and other area nonprofits like SEED, Greater Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District, Brightpoint and city government.

and thru our partnership with Indiana Coworking Passport, our members now have a free, limited access to other coworking spaces. The ICP allows any member of a participating space to cowork at any other participating space a day each month for free.

Our goal is to build a coalition of partners dedicated to successfully planning, designing, and implementing strategies to continue growing Fort Wayne’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

By partnering with ICP, our members have access to over 50 coworking spaces throughout Indiana.

Private Office Space vs Coworking Office Space (which is better for you now?)
If you’re trying to decide between a coworking space and a traditional, private office space for your business, here’s what you need to know.

What are some pros of coworking shared spaces vs private office space:

Coworking shared spaces tend to be the best choice for early stage businesses or startups that want flexibility, a fully-integrated environment, networking opportunities, and no lease month-to-month options.

What are some pros of private office spaces vs coworking shared spaces:

Better branding and the opportunity to tailor the space to suit your specific needs (furniture type and arrangement, music played, etc.). Renting private office space also makes more sense financially, when your team grows past 8 to 10 members.

What are some cons of private office spaces?

Price and Obligation. Signing a lease is a commitment that is more liability than asset, if you’re just starting out - or if you’re someone that doesn’t need an office, but wants something more than Starbucks or the Library.

What are some cons of coworking shared spaces?

Having a membership is always going more expensive than if you do it from home. But, like some people have to actually go to a gym to get in workout mode…

After months of working from home, some people realize that working from home is not always ideal (with dogs, kids, chores and netflix as distractions).

There is also less privacy in coworking spaces than in private office rentals... Great security, just less privacy - although less privacy can be a good trade-off in exchange for more networking and relationship building opportunities.
